Undoubtedly one of the most prolific, innovative, and exciting artists
exhibiting their work on deviantART has to be the amazing BenHeine (https://www.deviantart.com/benheine).
In terms of sheer creativity and the true spirit of art as human expression that knows no bounds,
he is currently with few peers. His unique visual creations have been featured in newspapers, magazines
and other publications worldwide and over the last few years his works have begun to populate art galleries
and museums from Brussels and London to Turkey, Romania and South Korea.
I remember what innocent felt like
The wind blowing in my hair
The sun shining on my face
Everything was magical and nothing was impossible.
School was still a place of fun and safety
"Free play" time was a daily given
Saturday morning cartoons lasted all day
And a hug from Mom made everything "all better."
Barbie was just a toy
"Gay" meant you were merry
A nightlight kept scary things at bay
And little brothers were your most annoying best friends.
Your imagination's only limit was bedtime
Two pipecleaners, construction paper, and some glue was a major craft project
A cardboard box was a space rocket, a house, and a car

Finally! All my artwork for this semester is complete! I am SOOOOOOOOO Exhausted :P I managed to get four works put together last minute for my senior project, which switched from painting to graphic design when I realized my Fibromyalgia was flaring WAY too much for me to stand in front of a canvas any longer :( Sucks to think about, but at least I had my graphic design skills to fall back on or I'd be in serious trouble right now.
Also completed around FIFTY example artworks for the elementary and high school levels this semester! Our elementary methods class required TONS of projects so we would have some ideas to work with when we start
Three weeks left until my second to last semester before student teaching is over! I am freaking out because I still have to works to paint for my final review before the senior exhibition! I don't know what I am going to do. YIKES :P
